(Michigan).- Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has secured a vendor registration for Michigan for its flagship affiliate site World Sports network (WSN.com), from the Michigan Gaming Control Board. The Board is tasked with overseeing Sports Betting in Michigan, including the responsibilities of approving or denying registration applications.

GiG secures vendor registration licence for Michigan for WSN.com

With this latest state-approved license WSN is now licenced in ten states where sports betting is legal and regulated. WSN is focused on the sports news coverage, industry statistics, and tools that fans need in order to stay informed.

Since the repeal of PASPA, the decision to approve sports betting as a legal activity has been left up to the states to decide. Every year more and more states have been approving sports betting and WSN has gone hand in hand with those states who make the leap. This latest licence is a critical step to providing Michiganders with the sports news coverage they require in the age of corona where in-person attendance is not possible.

Jonas Warrer, Managing Director of GiG Media, said “We are very happy to add Michigan to the list of states where we can offer legal sports betting content. The Michigan license approval takes us one step further in the ambition of making WSN as one of the go-to sites for any US sports bettor. WSN keeps gaining momentum in the US market and in GiG Media we are excited to see what the future has in store for WSN.com.”
